Mapping Table

Channel number.

Mapped Point(s) Column

Input point(s) a channel is mapped to. The value returned is an angle, in degrees. To map a point to a channel, select a channel on the left side of the I/O Mappings form, then click on a check box for an I/O point on the right side of the form. See I/O Mappings... for details.

Channel Properties

Specify properties on a per-channel basis. Select a channel in the Mapping Table to modify/view its channel properties.

Single Ended / Differential

Set signal mode configuration for either differential or single-ended (default). All ports (A, B, Idx) will be set as a group to the specified mode, with all ports tracking the port A setting.
If Single-ended mode is used, the DAC offset Voltage should be set up for the threshold voltage requirements.

Index Mode

Set counter index control mode for how the Z-index phase is handled. Available options are:

• Off (default) - The index input has no effect on the counter or interrupts.
• Load on I - An event on the I-input loads the counter with the preload value.
• Latch on I - An event on the I-input loads and locks the Counter Latch Register. The register is loaded with the current counter value.
• Gate on I - The signal level on the I-input enables or disables counting. In this mode, the I-input is level sensitive. If the I input is high, the counter is enabled.
• Reset on I - When the Index input is high, the counter is cleared.

Counter Mode

Set counter input mode. Available options are:

• 1X
• 2X
• 4X

High Voltage

Specify input level:

• True - Board switches in series resistors for high voltage input levels (> 15V)
• False - Board operates normally, using a direct connection (default)

Terminated

Specify input termination:

• True - Board switches in termination resistor 120 Ω (receive mode)
• False - Unterminated port (default)

Preload Value

Set preload registers (HI/LO) for the channel. Double word register, high and low, used for data.

• High register = Data 31:16
• Low register = Data 15:00

DAC Voltage Threshold

Set DAC offset voltage for channel between [0,3.75V].
