CP-COS-64 (Digital Change of State)

The CP-COS-64 is a 64-channel digital input card by Concurrent. Use this TTL PCIe card to track the change of state in digital inputs at 100 MHz (10ns). A 10us clock is also output on pin DIO_95. This clock can be used to sync the clock on the COS card to other systems. The card uses a FIFO, which has a maximum depth of 128 elements. Each element contains:

• Transition value (64-bit long long) - Each bit represents the transition value for corresponding digital input channel.
• Time stamp value (64-bit long long) - Time stamp for corresponding transition value entry in the FIFO. The time stamp calculator is based on the card's 100 MHz clock.
Data is recorded into the FIFO when any of the channels change their state or when the counter rolls over. At 100 MHz, the 64-bit counter will roll over every 2135039 days, approximately.
